What is L-tryptophan?
L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid that is needed for many functions in the human body. Participates in the synthesis of melatonin and serotonin - hormones that regulate sleep, mood and immune function. Reduces the feeling of stress and anxiety, helps the recovery and relaxation of the body. It has a beneficial effect on heart function and strengthens the immune system. L-tryptophan can help control body weight by reducing appetite and increasing the release of growth hormone.
As it is an essential amino acid, L-tryptophan cannot be synthesized by the body on its own and should be further taken from external sources (food or supplements).
L-Tryptophan increases the biological value of casein, soy proteins and collagen proteins. L-Tryptophan is used by the body to produce muscle fiber proteins, antibody proteins in the immune system and niacin (vitamin B3 or vitamin PP).
Constant intake of L-tryptophan reduces the feeling of hunger, maintains mental balance, promotes healthy and restful sleep.
